With summer fast approaching, sandle season is in full swing. The warmer weather also brings increased outdoor standing and physical activity. The onset of heel and arch pain can soon begin as a result. To offset and prevent this common problem, when possible, wear a sandle that provides a little more arch support to decrease the tension on a ligament in the bottom of the foot. With more excercise, a prescription orthotic can treat and prevent chronic heel and arch pain. Most insurances cover prescription orthotics and can be made very accommodative for all shoes including high heels when not participating in excercise. Good luck this summer with any new endeavors and if we can help with your foot health, please don't hesitate to give us a call.
